On December 18, 2015, President Obama signed into law a bill reauthorizing the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act of 2010. This legislation provides health care monitoring and treatment through the World Trade Center Health Program for those exposed to toxins released at Ground Zero for the rest of their lives, and extends the September 11 Victim Compensation Fund to provide economic assistance for those who suffer from 9/11-related conditions.
