Gillibrand Applauds 9-11 Health Bill Going Into Effect

New York, NY – With the health care programs under the 9-11 health bill going into effect today, U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) released the following statement:

“Today marks an historic day where the new World Trade Center Health Program officially begins, allowing the city’s 9-11 health clinics and hospitals to continue to help monitor and treat thousands of 9-11 heroes and survivors who are suffering. The James Zadroga 9-11 Health and Compensation Act fulfills our moral obligation to the brave men and women who did not think twice before risking their lives in service to our country. We have a duty to continue to provide them the health care and compensation they and their family need.”
