Gillibrand Statement On House-Passed Congressional Sexual Harassment Bill

Feb 7, 2018

Washington, DC – U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand today released the following statement on the sexual harassment bill passed yesterday by the U.S. House of Representatives:

“The House made important progress yesterday passing bipartisan legislation that would help bring transparency and accountability to the sexual harassment reporting process in Congress. Now it’s time for the Senate to act without delay. The American people are watching to see whether Congress will do the right thing or continue to play by its own set of rules. I hope we can quickly consider on the Senate floor the bipartisan bill that I introduced that currently has over 25 cosponsors so that taxpayers will no longer be on the hook for Congressional sexual harassment and a system is in place that takes this behavior out of the shadows.”
