In case you missed it, last Friday Senator Kirsten Gillibrand visited Buffalo, Rochester, and Syracuse calling for legislation to provide local New York governments with direct federal relief that can be used to pay for essential services and offset increased costs stemming from the COVID-19 crisis. The Direct Support for Communities Act would dedicate federal funding for local communities that would provide necessary relief for lost revenues.
