On Friday, Trump Administration Finally Called for Nominations for the Tick-Borne Disease Working Group; One of Gillibrand’s Key Provisions in Lyme and Tick-Borne Disease Prevention, Education, and Research Act. In 2015 alone, New York State reported 3,252 confirmed cases of Lyme disease to the CDC. Trump Administration’s proposed budget would cut NIH funding by 22%, which could decrease critical Lyme disease research for prevention, diagnosis, and treatments.
